Returns 1. Custom made gaskets and electrical items cannot be returned. We encourage you to contact our Customer Service Department with any problem, no matter what the issue. We will work to achieve an acceptable outcome no matter what has transpired. 2. All other items will be charged a 20% restocking fee and must be returned by the customer. 3. ALL returns must be accompanied by an RMA number. No goods will be accepted without an RMA number. Please call Customer Service to obtain an RMA number. RMA numbers will expire in 30 days, so please return goods promptly. 4. No RMA will be issued for returns over 30 days after invoice date. 5. If the error or issue was caused by TRG, all costs will be absorbed by TRG and the error will be corrected as quickly as possible. This can easily be determined as all phone conversations, emails and purchase orders are saved for order accuracy. Pricing 1. Pricing is subject to change at any time. 2. Quotes are good for 30 days. Backorders 1. If an item is back ordered and you have requested a partial shipment, the order will be divided into multiple orders and will be invoiced separately. Images and Products 1. Although OEM part numbers are used in this catalog, the products sold are not necessarily from the OEM. 2. Our custom made gasket extrusions are made in the USA by a major OEM extruder and are NSF approved. 3. Manufacturers are constantly changing and improving items. The images in this catalog are as accurate as possible at the time of publication.

Terms & Conditions

Ordering 1. There is a $10 minimum order. Any order less than $10 will have an additional $3 fee added. 2. Custom gasket orders must have a minimum of one working day for production. Same-day gasket orders will be assessed a $20 additional fee per gasket. A limited number of gaskets can be shipped the next working day upon request. We recommend ordering as early in the day as possible if your gaskets must be expedited. Shipping 1. All small packages are shipped via UPS. Large orders can be shipped via freight carriers. 2. The shipping amount line on your invoice will include the normal UPS rate plus a $2 handling fee. 3. We will be happy to ship Freight Collect or 3rd party via UPS. A separate $2 handling fee will be added to the invoice. 4. Long or very large items may require special packaging to ensure safe transport. This may include a special handling fee. 5. Damaged/incorrect orders need to be reported immediately to our Customer Service department. Please retain any damaged packaging for 1 week for possible UPS inspection. Payment Terms 1. TRG will be happy to extend credit to our customers when a credit application has been completed and approved. All invoices are due 30 days from the date of the invoice. 2. We also accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. 3. COD is available, but there will be an additional UPS COD fee added to the freight charge.

Who Is TRG? Total Refrigeration Gaskets Inc. was founded in 1989 with the objective of making gaskets that fit and seal properly. Along with manufacturing gaskets, we

began installing gaskets at the local Orlando area theme parks. Hardware was soon added to our product line, as it was necessary for the scope of work. We found our niche, and have continued to specialize in products that make doors close and seal. By specializing, we have used the knowledge gained through installations, attending new equipment shows, interacting with our customers through workshops, and customer input to develop a highly trained Customer Service Department. We pride ourselves in our knowledge and our genuine commitment to assisting customers. Part of that commitment involves staying current with the manufacturers’ changing products. Total Refrigeration Gaskets Inc. began with four gasket profiles. Over time, we have evolved to thirty-six. As manufacturers change their profiles, we will continue to add to our product line to remain current. In 2001, we decided to focus on manufacturing gaskets and distributing hardware. In order to do that, we closed our installation department. Installing was an invaluable learning experience, but we preferred not competing with our local customers, instead concentrating on growing the manufacturing division. Although we still have many customers who were established in our first year of business, we have grown to be an international company, with customers not only in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, but in Europe, U.A.E., and Egypt. Along with growth came the need to focus on organization. As always, maintaining our delivery

commitments was a high priority, so in 2009 we created a custom order entry program, giving us features that expedite our workflow as well as offer value to our customers. Our ability to create Customer Logs and use manufacturer’s part numbers are two of the added benefits. At the same time our office became paperless. In 2011 that program was integrated with a custom production program, taking the production department paperless. This allows us to track the progress of an order and expedite if necessary. More importantly, we now have our Total Tag , which gives you—the customer—all the information you need at your fingertips. More information is now available to you 24 hours a day. Our Order Online allows you to work on your schedule. You can get a quote or place an order day or night. Just establish your Online credentials with Customer Service, and your order will go directly into our system so we can begin production on it the next working day. What is Santoprene?

oil, making it an excellent choice for cook lines. There are down sides to Santoprene. A Santoprene gasket is stiffer than a PVC gasket. Older units require a more flexible gasket to compensate for imperfections. Santoprene does not “give” quickly, and takes more time to seat. Due to the higher temperature range, applying heat to help seat a gasket is not an option. Another downside is that Santoprene material is more expensive, and the fabrication is more difficult. There are a limited variety of profiles available in Santoprene.

Santoprene is a registered trademark for a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). As the name might suggest, Santoprene was originally registered by Monsanto Company in 1977, and is now owned by Exxon Mobil. Santoprene elastomer possesses the same levels of flexibility and durability that are commonly found with natural rubber compounds. Because of the longer life of Santoprene elastomer in both extreme hot and cold environments (–80° F to 275° F), the material is sometimes a better choice than PVC. Warmers and Blast Chillers would be examples. Santoprene is resistant to harsh chemicals, grease, and

Does your gasket look like this? Here’s a Tip! Make sure your magnet is in the right place. During handling and shipping, the magnet can drop down out of the corner. Follow these simple instructions to correct the issue.

Extend the life of your gaskets

• Gaskets should be cleaned regularly with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth. • Never use sanitizer or bleach on your gaskets as they are caustic to PVC. • Never use sharp objects to scrape gaskets as this can weaken the accordion and cause premature failure. • Encourage the use of latches and pull handles. Grabbing the top OF¬THE¬DOOR¬CAN¬CAUSE¬UNNECESSARY¬WEAR ¬AND¬lNGERNAILS¬MAY¬ create small tears that will grow.

• Mounts flat to the door • Gray rigid PVC extrusion • Surface mount retainer can be screwed to most doors allowing the use of most single Dart style gaskets.

• Retainer will add 9/32" thickness to the gasket area and will in most cases require hinges to be shimmed or a higher offset hinge. • You must have 1-1/4" reveal around the outer edge of the door (where the existing gasket sits) to insure that the retainer will lie flat. • Screws can be countersunk into the retaining groove for mounting. The gasket dart may be notched at the screw heads to allow proper fit. • If shipping via UPS, retainer must be cut.

How to install a Gasket Retainer

• Remove Old Track: Slit the track with a razor knife down the center of the groove. The track will lift out in two pieces. • Install Replacement Track: Cut the track to length with mitered corners. Slide the inside pan of the door into the slot on the "A" side of the track in the diagram above. With the track in the proper position in the corners, push down on the "B" side of the track to snap into place.

Walk-In Hardware Terminology General Terminology • Flush: When the door is closed, it is Flush with the wall. You cannot see the side of the door or the gasket. • Offset: When the door closes on top of the wall (the side of the door and gasket are visible when closed), it is an Offset closing door. The Offset is the distance between the front face of the wall to the front face of the door. Offset should always be measured on the hinge side.

• Swing: The Swing of the door is established by standing outside the unit with the door closed. If the hinges are on the right, it is Right Swing. If they are on the left, it is a Left Swing. Latch Terminology • Mechanical Latch: A Mechanical Latch has a lever that retracts the tongue to release the door. • Strike: The tongue catches the Strike, which is the piece mounted to the jamb. • Pull Handle: A Pull Handle does not have a strike. A door with a Pull Handle must have a magnetic gasket to hold the door closed. • Inside Release: An Inside Release is necessary with a Mechanical Latch or a Pull Handle that can be locked. This is a safety issue. There should always be a functioning inside release.

How to adjust your Kason 1346

Firmly grasp the elastomer cover between your lNGERS¬AND¬THUMB ¬0ULL¬IN¬A¬DOWNWARD¬MOTION¬ towards you.

Remove Cover

Using a standard ratchet set, loosen the four corner bolts. NOTE: Do not remove these bolts, just loosen enough to allow the door to move to a square position.

Walk-In

Loosen Bolts

Using a 3/8" open-end wrench, tighten or loosen the adjustable bolt until the door is square.

Tighten | Loosen

Tighten the four corner bolts.

Re-tighten Bolts

Replace the elastomer cover, putting the BOTTOM¬EDGE¬IN¬lRST¬AND¬TILTING¬UPWARDS¬UNTIL¬IT¬ IS¬lRMLY¬IN¬PLACE
